Solution:
As Euresys doesn't expose a COM port that can be used with JAI control tools, we have to use GenCP instead.
There are 2 camera series where this will not work, this is LT/LQ, as they dont support GenCP
Requirements:
- Euresys eGrabber studio (Tested with 26.09.0.1)
- Mini CameraLink cables
- JAI CameraLink camera
Step by step guide:
<Add step by step guide>
- Connect the cables to camera and framegrabber.
- If the camera support Power Over CameraLink, the camera should be turn on, otherwise power the camera through 12 pin power connector.
- Open eGrabber studio and select "GrabLink" as GenTL source.
- Select "Device0" and open
- Once open, select "Interface" and find the "DeviceControlProtocol" and set it to "GenCP"
- Then you can close the tab and head back to the main menu
- Now the framegrabber will try to find the camera, you might need to refresh once if not discovered on first attempted. If you camera is found, you can open it.
- Now you can find all camera setting under "Remote Device", you might change visibility from "Beginner" to "Guru", if this is your first time.
Issues:
AP-3200T-PMCL:
On this camera, you have to set the Tap Geometry manually.
This is done by going into "Data Stream" and navigating to "TransportLayerControl" and change "DeviceTapGeometrySource" from "RemoteDevice" to "DataStream".
Then set the desired "TapGeometry" under "RemoteDeviceTapGeometry".
For Base - RGB8, set Geometry_1X_1Y
For Medium - RGB8, Set Geometry_1X2_1Y
For Medium - RGB10, Set Geometry_1X_1Y
For Medium - RGB12, Set Geometry_1X_1Y
For Full - RGB8, Set Geometry_1X8_1Y
For EightyBit - RGB8, Set Geometry_1X10_1Y
